About Quality Standards.com
My name is Gary Martel. Over the past 30 years I've been a Quality Assurance Manager, a small business owner, a QMS Lead Auditor, and most recently, the President of an ANAB-accredited Registrar. (American International Registrars Corporation, acquired by National Quality Assurance, dba NQA-USA in 2006.)
ISO Registrars are required to be independent and impartial, which means they are not allowed to offer advice to their customers. But without adequate guidance, the registration process can be confusing and costly. As a Registrar, I've often seen companies make simple mistakes that should have been prevented by their Quality Managers or Consultants.
Now that I'm no longer in the registration business, I'm able to offer consultation, training, and documentation services that give my clients a unique insider's perspective into quality management and all the facets of ISO registration. My experience as a Registrar means you won't waste time trying to determine what the ISO standard requires vs. what's important for your company. I'll work with you to create your quality manuals, train your staff and prepare you for your registration audit. If you have an existing quality system that needs to be updated or revised, I can help you fix it.
During the past five years I've divided my time between consulting jobs in the United States and the European Union. In the process, I've discovered numerous ways to utilize the Internet to service my clients while keeping their costs down. For example, we can create documentation and collaborate on it, conduct online training and answer questions; all without disturbing your operations or running up travel and lodging expenses. Another big advantage: the Internet provides excellent document control while enabling authorized personnel to access documents, forms and records remotely from home or from just about anywhere in the world.
Of course I realize that firms sometimes need on-site help. If I can't assist you personally, I'll be happy to recommend local consultants in the U.S. or the U.K. with whom I've worked and know to be reputable and qualified.

Best Regards, Gary Martel
